Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you don’t want to miss out on showing your customers love! Large corporations, small startups and everyone in between should take advantage of this holiday to show they care. There are so many ways to do this, but here are five ideas to get you thinking:
1. Send an e-Valentine
When you were a kid, you gave out Valentines to everyone in your class. As an adult, you get a heartfelt card for your significant other. As a business, you need to let your customers know you appreciate them. Sending a simple holiday-themed email should do the trick. Adding an extra little something inside (coupon, freebie, etc.), will make them love you all the more!
2. Be a Social Sweetheart
When the day arrives, make sure to remember your social community! Share a message on Facebook and Twitter to make your fans and followers smile. Also, make sure you update your pages to reflect the holiday – think hearts.
3. Host a Cute Contest
No matter what industry you are in, a contest is a great way to create excitement and reach more people. Come up with a Valentines-themed promotion, relevant to your business, to promote your brand and share love on social media. The cost will be minimal in comparison to the results you’ll get.
4. Be a Blogging Beauty
Come up with some ways that your business can be helpful this Valentine’s Day. People will be scouring the Internet for gift and date ideas. If you can offer something helpful, write a blog post about it. It is likely that your blog will get a lot of traffic, which means more potential customers for you!
5. Offer a Timely Treat
Nothing creates a sense of urgency and excitement like a fantastic deal with a short time-frame. Giving customers a free gift or a great discount on Valentine’s Day is a perfect way not only to show appreciation but to also boost your sales. A happy customer easily turns into a repeat customer and nothing is better than that!
In your industry you might not be able to actually sell Valentine’s Day merchandise, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in on all of the fun. There are so many ways to get your customers smiling and holidays are golden opportunities, so bring your “A-game.”
